Introducing z/VM 7.3

Available September 16, 2022: z/VM 7.3 includes all new function APARs and service provided in previous versions, and will receive new features delivered as part of the Continuous Delivery service stream over the next two years. z/VM 7.3 supports up to eight members in a SSI cluster, and allows support for NVMe devices on LinuxONE.

Single System Image (SSI) 8

An increase in the maximum size of a SSI cluster from four members to eight, enabling clients to grow their SSI clusters to allow for more workload and reduce the proportion of spare capacity space required to accommodate planned system outages.

NVMe EDEVICE Support

Enablement to allow Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) solid-state drive (SSD) adapters to be accessed as one or more EDEVICEs, taking advantage of the capacity and performance benefits these devices offer on LinuxONE.
