The "Mode" column uses the following legend:
- 370A
- Executes in 370 Accommodation mode, allowing a 370-only application to run in an XA or XC virtual machine.
- TOL
- Executes in XA toleration mode using 24-bit addressing and XA I/O.
- EXP
- Executes in XA exploitation mode using 31-bit addressing and XA I/O and can reside in a shared segment loaded above the 16 Meg line.
- ESA/XC
- Executes in ESA/XC mode (and marked with * if it uses Data Spaces)
- ALL
- End user virtual machine executes in any of the above modes (and marked with * if it uses Data Spaces). If marked with # restrictions apply to service virtual machine(s). Please refer to product documentation for complete details.
