z/VM 5.3 General Availability: June 29, 2007
z/VM 5.3 planned withdrawal from marketing: Not announced
z/VM 5.3 planned end of support: September 30, 2010.
Orders for z/VM V5.3 are accepted beginning June 15, 2007. When
placing an order, if you wish to have that order fulfilled with
z/VM V5.3, you will need to specify a customer requested arrival
date (CRAD) of June 29, 2007 or later.
Production of z/VM V5.3 orders are planned to begin at general
availability of June 29, 2007.
Current licensees of z/VM V4, z/VM V5.1, or z/VM V5.2
who have purchased the z/VM Subscription & Support (S&S) must
order z/VM V5.3 as specified in the Ordering Information section within
the customer announcement.
Customers with S&S for z/VM V4, z/VM V5.1, or z/VM V5.2
are entitled to receive z/VM V5.3 at no charge.

Current customers with VM/ESA V2, or earlier, z/VM V3.1, z/VM V4, or
z/VM V5 customers without the S&S license, or a
new VM customer must order z/VM V5.3 as specified in the
Ordering Information section within the customer announcement.

ShopzSeries, their IBM representative, IBM Direct,
or IBM Business Partner.

Effective January 25, 2008, the z/VM base operating system and base
options are available for
Internet delivery for orders placed using ShopzSeries in
countries where it is available. We know many of our customers have been
waiting for internet delivery option and IBM is pleased to offer it to you.
