z/VM Virtual Networking Link Aggregation - Exclusive use errors

The entire OSA-Express2 port containing the device that is a member of a port group must not be shared with another host or another LPAR. If you try to use a device that can not be put into exclusive use, you will see this error message:

• HCPSWU2832E An exclusive use error was received for the device.

These are examples of the messages that will be displayed on the controller console.

• DTCOSD410E Device 00001E03 cannot be put into exclusive mode; adapter has active QDIO connections.
  
• DTCOSD406E Device cannot be initialized; it is in exclusive mode elsewhere.
