5E2 VSE/ESA Basic Security Manager

Abstract:

The VSE security concept was newly revised with VSE/ESA 2.4. The security infrastructure was extended by the System Authorization Facility (SAF) to support the industry standard security interfaces. CICS TS for VSE/ESA is the major exploiter of this new interface. The IBM-supplied Basic Security Manager (BSM) supports sign-on and transaction security; it also protects the resources defined in DTSECTAB.
