5E2 VSE/SA 2.4 Security

Abstract: The CICS Transaction Server VSE/ESA of VSE/ESA 2.4.0 has no CICS internal security, like the previous VSE releases. Instead it uses RACROUTE requests for authorization checks.
To support these RACROUTE requests the security infrastructure of VSE/ESA 2.4 0 was extended by the System Authorization Facility (SAF) and a Basic Security Manager (BSM) was introduced.
The BSM supports signon and transaction security. It also protects the resources defined in DTSECTAB. If more security functions are required an External Security Manager (ESM) from a software vendor can be used.
