5B2 LE/VSE - Hints and Tips(2)

Abstract:

Share news and experience about LE/VSE with user community. Year 2000 will be a milestone for your complete installation base. This particularily applies to language applications not revised for a long time. LE/VSE Hints & Tips (2) will discuss many different aspects of an LE/VSE environment. We will concentrate on customization, preventive service actions you may wish to implement, po tentially avoidable migration problems as well as specific VSE/ESA 2.4.0 topics like the CICS Transaction Server for VSE/ESA or news with Debug Tool for VSE/ESA. Furthermore there will be an overview about recent functional enhancements added via APAR /PTF. We'll al so cover some useful problem determination strategies and product areas different from previous language run-time implementations (mainly COBOL).
