3E3 Ramac Virtual Array (RVA) Storage and SnapShot for VM/ESA Users

Abstract:

The RAMAC Virtual Array Storage has been supported by VM/ESA since RVA was announced. This session will explore the support for the unique architecture of the RVA and how VM has implemented its support. Topics inlude not only a review of the RVA hardware, but also the "IBM Extended Facilities Product" for managing the RVA and "SnapShot for VM/ESA" for rapidly duplicating volumes and minidisks.
