Abstract:

As individuals and corporations begin relying on the Internet for information, connectivity, and commerce, it becomes critical to understand the issues of Internet security. Unfortunately Internet security is comprised of several which must be understood in order to make rational decisions about what level of security is needed for your environment.

This session will introduce you to the basics of Internet security (firewalls, encryption, access control, and secure transactions), the problems they solve and where you need to implement the various technologies.

If you are on the Internet or about ready to connect, this session will lay the groundwork for understanding Internet security.
