OpenExtensions fo z/VM "Q"s and "A"s

Question: Can you tell me which C compilers are supported?

Answer: IBM C for VM/ESA Version 3 Release 1, installed with Language Environment Version 1 Release 5 or higher is the only C compiler supported under OpenExtensions for z/VM. This is the compiler called from c89. Older versions of C compilers will continue to run on z/VM, but cannot be used to access OpenExtensions functions.
