OpenExtensions fo z/VM "Q"s and "A"s

Question: Can you tell me which C compilers are supported?

Answer: The following C or C/C++ compilers are supported on z/VM

• IBM XL C/C++ for z/VM V1.3
• IBM XL C/C++ for z/VM V1.2
• IBM C/C++ for z/VM V1.1
• IBM C for VM/ESA V3.1

The IBM XL C/C++ compiler is the compiler called from c89. Older versions of C compilers will continue to run on z/VM, but cannot be used to access OpenExtensions functions.
