Service for a z/VM System

You are encouraged to keep your z/VM system at a healthy service level. To do this, it is recommended that you stay on a supported z/VM release and service level.

z/VM offers two releases in service to choose from. The most current release offers new function on a continuous basis, delivered through the service stream. While a previous release will be functionally stabilized, it will continue to receive the latest service. This provides a choice to go with the latest functional enhancements, or keep the existing function and apply any needed service.

To learn about enhancements provided through continuous delivery, visit the Continuous Delivery page.
