Changing an Alias

Some NFS clients provide different ways to change an alias or share name. For example, a tool called a 'Share Editor' may be available, so you don't have to edit registry information as shown in the following example. The exact method depends on which NFS client has been installed.

Be very, very careful when changing registry information!

  • Run regedit.
  • Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder.
  • Open Software folder.
  • Open FTPSoftware folder.
  • Open InterDrive folder.
  • Open an NFS host folder.
  • Select an alias.
  • Double-click share-name to edit the Path (mount operands).
