z/VM Export List Support
The z/VM TCP/IP System Administrator defines an Export List in the VMNFS CONFIG file that is used by the VMNFS server. Each entry in the Export List is made up of an export_name and a mount_string.
- Most NFS clients have a way to display the export list for a
server. That display typically shows the export_name.
From a z/VM CMS user ID, you can see the export list using the OPENVM SHOWMOUNT command.
- The administrator can use wildcards such as %USERID,
%FSROOT, and %IWDIR when specifying the mount_string.
- Some NFS clients require that the export_name begin with a slash ("/").
