Abstract:
There is a lot of talk about Cloud Computing in the industry. Businesses are looking for ways to leverage Cloud Computing in their IT infrastructure as a way of saving money. System z people have long eschewed the hype of the latest buzzword and cloud is no exception. While the hype is overblown, there is a merit for cloud environments hosted on system z. This session will outline the origins of cloud computing, describe the business impact of it and provide insights on why z is probably the best platform for cloud computing.
