Service and feature packs released for the z/VM 7.4 CMS component


z/VM 7.4 introduced linear service to the product. Service fixpacks and feature packs are now released on a regular cadence. By installing the latest pack you will receive all service fixes and features for the component. Refer to the change log table below for a comprehensive list of changes to the component since the z/VM 7.4 General Availability date.

    Provide support in GetShopz for direct to host transfer of service packages from IBM ServiceLink. GetShopz currently has the function to securely transfer z/VM service packages directly from Shopz. This new function APAR will provide the same ability for orders from ServiceLink.

  • Correct PIPGFTXT building a filter package that contains parts with long lines.
    The default for PIPGFTXT is to compress the REXX programs that are included in the filter package. This may result in long source lines. The code in PIPGFTXT has been fixed to correctly compute the length of long lines as well. This ensures a working filter package is created.
