Errors after going to z14 with OSA-Express6S
If you have migrated to a z14 and are using an OSA-Express6S card on this processor, you need to have TCP/IP APAR PI73016 (included on RSU 1702) applied.
APAR PI73016 updates the NETSTAT OSAINFO command output for the OSA-Express6S cards, and also corrects a TCP/IP connectivity problem that can occur when TCP/IP is using an OSA-Express6S device in Layer 3 (IP) mode. The issue occurs due to a header mismatch error between the QDIO header and IP header (these header lengths will no longer always be the same as of OSA-Express6S).
Customers who encounter this issue will see error messages similar to the following in the TCPIP server console log:
QDIO device DEV24 device number 3400: encountered a transmission error Input queue 80000000 location: 04 error code: 00 index 00 Buffer Address: 07277900 00000000:40000000 00000056 00000001 2BC4E000 00000010:0000000E 00001000 00000003 47AD1000 SBALE: 00 Guest ADR: 07197000 Real ADR: 000000012BC4E000 00000000:0106644A 00000000 00360008 00000000 00000010:00000026 8859B7F0 00000000 00000000 00000020:45000034 3FF60000 3F0602AA 090C11C2 00000030:090C154B 00AF0475 0707D822 30F276A0 00000040:80187FFD 5CB10000 0101080A C9DB6C7B 00000050:C9DAD4CF 00000012 00000000 00000002
Again, this problem is corrected by APAR PI73016 (PTF UI49565 for Release 6.4.0), which is on RSU 1702 (or later).
