Resource Requirements
for TCP/IP V2R4 RSU 0001
New User ID Requirements |
Sample CP directory entries for new user IDs that must be defined are presented here.
Note:
These entries make use of a CMSUSER directory entry profile
which defines general characteristics that apply to all of these
user IDs. For details about the CMSUSER profile definition, see
section 6.2.2.1, PROFILE Directory Entries of the TCP/IP V2R4
Program Directory.

Changed User ID Requirements |
Note!
The statements that follow are necessary only if you intend to
make full use of the VM/ESA IBM Network Station support (that is, will
be installing IBM Network Station Client Code PTFs).

If you plan to support and use IBM Network Stations, you should review
further the Changed User ID Requirements section in Appendix E
of the TCP/IP V2R4 Program Directory for
information about additional changes that are necessary.
New Minidisk Requirements |
Requirements for new minidisks that must be defined are listed in the following table:
Minidisk Owner | Default Address | Storage in Cylinders | FB-512 Blocks | SFS 4K Blocks | Usage | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
DASD | Cylinders | Default SFS Directory Name | ||||
P735FALK | 493 |

Note!
If you do not plan to make full use of the VM/ESA IBM Network
Station support (that is, you will not be installing the IBM
Network Station Client Code PTFs), you can define a minimally-sized (1
cylinder) minidisk for the P735FALK 493 test build minidisk,
instead of defining a minidisk of the size indicated in the preceding
table.
Changed Minidisk Requirements |
Existing minidisks for which additional space must be defined are listed in the following table. Note that the storage sizes cited in this table indicate the amount by which an existing minidisk should be increased, and not a revised, total new disk size.
Minidisk Owner | Default Address | Storage in Cylinders | FB-512 Blocks | SFS 4K Blocks | Usage | |
