A similar message is displayed if the error occurs on a Rip_Interface or Interface statement. LOCAL FIX: PROBLEM SUMMARY: **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: z/VM TCP/IP LEVEL 3A0 MPROUTE USERS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a point to point interface is * * configured in the MPROUTE CONFIG file * * with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.255 * * an error occurs, and the MPROUTE server * * will not come up. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY PTF * **************************************************************** The code that parses the MPROUTE CONFIG file (MPRORYAC) did not allow a subnet mask of 255.255.255.255. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: The parsing code in MPRORYAC was changed to allow 255.255.255.255 as a subnet mask, and the routine doaddrs_inia in INCONF was changed to allow the 255.255.255.255 subnet mask for point to point links.
