Managing z/VM TCP/IP Client Files
(Copying Client Code to the Y-Disk)
The program directories for the various levels of TCP/IP for VM include appendices that provide optional steps for copying client code to the Y-Disk (the MAINT 19E minidisk).
Considerations for so doing include simplifying access to TCP/IP client functions for your user community, and to ensure TCP/IP-specific data and functions are available to applications which may reference them.
The descriptive lists that follow can help you determine which TCP/IP client files you may want to copy to this disk (or remove, after using the VMFCOPY copy command with "wildcard" (*) file name and file type operands):
- TCP/IP Level 730 Client Files
- TCP/IP Level 720 Client Files
