VM/TimeServ is an RSK-based, multitasking SNTP Verion 3 time server. It allows PC and Unix workstation clients to synchronize their system clocks with VM's TOD clock to within subsecond accuaracy. This can be important in LAN enviroments where the host and the client must share the same "sense of time"; e.g., using time stamps in transaction logs.

This package can also serve as an example of how to code simple RSK-based servers. Source code is provided in both PL/X and S/390 HLASM assembler.
