z/VM Virtual Networking Link Aggregation - Create virtual switch
The indication that you desire to use link aggregation for a virtual
switch is done with the GROUP option, giving the name of the
port group that should be associated with this VSWITCH.
DEFINE VSWITCH ETH1 ETHERNET RDEV 2100 VLAN 1 NATIVE 1 GROUP CISCO1
Note that the RDEV device number specified on the DEFINE VSWITCH is
the device to be used for failover in the event that the entire
port group becomes unavailable. Failover
in this environment will be to a single OSA-Express device.
You may specify up to three RDEVs to be used for this failover
(only one will be used at a time). These RDEVs should not
be connected to the same switch as the port group members,
although each switch must be connected to the same LAN segment.
When CP detects that the port group is available, CP will failback
to using the port group.
