 ERROR DESCRIPTION:
Customer reports intermittent problems when an OSD device is
started. Message MSDTCOSD204E is reported when this problem
 occurs:

   DTCIPI023I TCP-IP initialization complete.
   ...
   DTCOSD204E ToOsd: Error 7D establishing CM-CM connection
              for device DEV@0600
   DTCOSD082E OSD shutting down:
   DTCPRI385I Device DEV@0600:

The '7D' error code cited here can vary, since this problem
occurs from an incorrect mapping of the response buffer for the
OSD device CM-CM connection (the error code reported is
dependent upon the content of storage that is referenced).

 LOCAL FIX:
This problem can usually be overcome by restarting the device
in question, or if necessary, the TCP/IP server.

 PROBLEM SUMMARY:

 * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY PTF                                    *
 ****************************************************************
The mapping of the response buffer for an OSD initialization
command was incorrect. An extra field was included in the
mapping and therefore the code was looking beyond the end
of the response buffer for a status field. If the storage
beyond the buffer was zero, everything looked ok. If it was
not, TCTOOSD would report the error with message DTCOSD204E.
Note that the error code in the message varies depending
on what is in storage. Examples include 7D, 01, and 03.

 PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The mapping for the CmConnectSduType area was corrected.
