 ERROR DESCRIPTION:
 User is trying to use PROXYARP on a system for which a HIPER
 Guest LAN has been defined. Connectivity cannot be achieved
 between any of the hosts on the Guest LAN and any hosts on the
 real network. A review of the GATEWAY statements indicates
 that all statements appear to be correct. The PROXYARP support
 function does not appear to be working for this environment.

 ****************************************************************
 Proxy ARP support was intended to be used to allow IP addresses
 within a subnet of a LAN to be used for point-to-point
 connections, in effect allowing the hosts at the other end of
 the point-to-point connections to appear to be on the LAN by
 virtue of the VM TCP/IP stack acting as their proxy to respond
 to ARP requests for their IP addresses. With guest (and real)
 QDIO or Hipersockets LANs, the ARP function is performed by the
 adapter and thus any IP addresses to be proxied must be reported
 to the adapter. In order to allow VM TCP/IP to receive traffic
 for one LAN via another, the first LAN's IP addresses must be
 advertised on the second. Proxy ARP support does not perform
 this function.

 PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
 Support for proxy ARP has been extended to allow hosts on a QDIO
 or Hipersockets LAN for which static host routes are defined to
 be proxied on other LANs. In addition to specifying PROXYARP in
 the ASSORTEDPARMS statement, the GATEWAY statement must be used
 to define static routes for hosts on the QDIO or Hipersockets
 LAN for which proxy support is required.

 For example, if a LAN named ETHERNET is defined with a home
 address of 9.115.33.214, three hosts on a QDIO guest LAN named
 GESTLAN with home addresses in the same subnet as ETHERNET could
 be defined as follows:

 HOME
     9.115.33.214   ETHERNET
     9.115.33.214   GUESTLAN
 ; Routing information (if you are not using the ROUTED server)
 GATEWAY
 ; Network 1st hop Link MTU Subn mask Subn value
   9            =          ETHERNET 1500   0.255.255.0 0.115.33.0
   9.115.33.215 =          GUESTLAN 1500   HOST
   9.115.33.216 =          GUESTLAN 1500   HOST
   9.115.33.217 =          GUESTLAN 1500   HOST
 ; Default for everything else
   DEFAULTNET 9.115.33.254 ETHERNET 1500   0
