 ERROR DESCRIPTION:
 RouteD machine intermittently is recycled by TCPIP because
 of a storage contraint problem. If the VMSIZE is increased the
 machine will run longer before the error condition occurs.
 Looking at a VMDUMP shows that the machine has many LE storage
 management chains. Problem appears to have become apparent in
 z/VM RouteD R430.

 LOCAL FIX:

 PROBLEM SUMMARY:
 ****************************************************************
 * USERS AFFECTED: All users of z/VM TCP/IP level 420           *
 *                 and 430 running with ROUTED                  *
 ****************************************************************
 * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After running for an extended period *
 * of time, ROUTED runs out of storage, *
 *                      with message DTCRTD4844S, and           *
 * terminates, whereupon the stack will *
 *                      restart it.                             *
 ****************************************************************
 * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY PTF                                    *

 Function ifinit() allocates a buffer to hold the interface
 information it obtains from the TCP/IP stack every 30 seconds.
 However, this buffer is never freed, so eventually all storage
 is exhausted, the error message is generated, and the ROUTED
 server is terminated and TCP/IP stack restarted it.

 PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
 Code has been added to release the interface buffer after it
 has been processed.
