LOCAL FIX: PROBLEM SUMMARY: **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of MPRoute. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: MPRoute gets error "DTCMPR7828I Error * * adding/deleting/changing stack rte" * * when trying to delete TCP/IP stack * * routes. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY PTF * **************************************************************** MPRoute is adding up to 4 equal-cost routes to its routing tables, and sending updates to the TCP/IP stack to add these routes. Since the stack does not support equal-cost routes, it replaces the old route with the new one. So MPRoute may have up to 4 equal-cost routes in its tables, but the TCP/IP stack has only one. When MPRoute deletes more than 1 of these equal-cost routes, the stack returns a ESRCH error indicating the route was not found. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: MPROUTE was changed to keep 1 route to a destination. Thus the tables maintained by MPROUTE and TCP/IP stack will match.
