 ERROR DESCRIPTION:
 User installed new OSA Express Adapter and the Linux systems
 connected to VM via Point to Point connections no longer have
 connectivity out to the network. Tracing the problem showed
 that ProxyArp is not working when an OSA Express Adapter (OSD)
 adapter is being used.

 LOCAL FIX:
 Work around is available from VM TCP/IP Support

 PROBLEM SUMMARY:
 ****************************************************************
 * USERS AFFECTED: Users of OSA Express in native (QDIO) mode *
 * who also have links to other systems or *
 * guests with IP addresses in the same *
 * subnetwork as the IP address of the OSA *
 ****************************************************************
 * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
 ****************************************************************
 * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY PTF                                    *
 ****************************************************************
 Proxy ARP support is not effective for OSA Express interfaces
 because the IP addresses for links in the same subnetwork as the
 OSA are not added to the IP address table that VM TCP/IP
 provides to the adapter. Unless the interface is also a primary
 router, traffic for other links is not forwarded to VM TCP/IP by
 the adapter.

 PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
 Code has been changed to add IP addresses for hosts in the same
 subnetwork as the OSA to the IP address table when the
 ASSORTEDPARMS PROXYARP option is specified.
