LOCAL FIX: PROBLEM SUMMARY: **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All z/VM users with TLS-enabled TCPNJE links * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY PTF * **************************************************************** Issuing the RSCS Shutdown command when there are TLS-enabled TCPNJE links in the connected state, may cause the active SSL server to abend. When this occurs, TLS enabled TN3270 sessions may be hung until the SSL server is recycled. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: When a close request is presented to the SSL server for a connection that has already been closed, there is no need to take any action on the connection. The SSL server should just send the notice to the stack and select the next handler. SSLCTLIO has been updated to follow the process outlined above.
