Memo to Users for APAR VM65788 The PTF for APAR VM65788 provides support for secure RSCS TCPNJE-type links. A new TCPNJE-type link parameter has been added called TLSLABEL. This parameter specifies the label of an x.509 digital certificate that will be used to encrypt/decrypt all data flowing over the link using TLS protocols. The same certificate label must be specified on both sides of the link. The specified certificate and its corresponding TLSLABEL must exist in the TLS/SSL Server certificate database. For additional information on the TLS/SSL Server and managing its certificate database, refer to the z/VM TCP/IP Planning and Customization manual. APAR PI56474 / PTF UI37274 must first be applied for the required TCP/IP Stack and TLS/SSL server support. RSCS supports secure TCPNJE connectivity with RSCS, JES2, JES3, z/VSE, and any other NJE node supporting the TCPNJE protocol which negotiates with the "OPEN SSL" connect option. The following help files have been updated with additional hints and tips unique to establishing secure TCPNJE connectivity: DMT083E DMT179E DMT185E DMT190I DMT191I TCPNJE The following z/VSE PTFs should be applied if secure TCPNJE links with POWER/VSE are desired: - z/VSE 5.1 PTF UD54176 and UD54177 for APAR DY47660 - z/VSE 5.2 PTF UD54178 and UD54179 for APAR DY47661 - z/VSE 6.1 PTF UD54180 and UD54181 for APAR DY47662
