(Year 2000 Support)

Last updated: 2000-02-02     (Subscribe to updates)

DirMaint APARs VM60538, VM61848, and VM61546 (all included on RSU 9901) provide support for year 2000 (along with VM/ESA 2.2.0). This includes supporting the DATEFORMAT directory statement, and the FULLDATE, ISODATE, SHORTDATE, VMDATE, and SYSDEFAULT options on several CP and CMS commands.

Important information for VMSES/E must be reviewed prior to installing any RSU or SDO tapes in the year 2000.

                                       |--DELETE------|

Interface Descriptor

Migration Alert!

The interface descriptor has been changed from 199501 to 199601 for the following exit points:

  • COMMAND_AFTER_PROCESSING_USER_EXIT (DVHCXA)
  • COMMAND_BEFORE_PROCESSING_USER_EXIT (DVHCXB)
  • COMMAND_BEFORE_PARSING_USER_EXIT (DVHCXC)
  • REQUEST_AFTER_PROCESSING_EXIT (DVHXRA)
  • REQUEST_BEFORE_PROCESSING_EXIT (DVHXRB)
  • REQUEST_BEFORE_PARSING_EXIT (DVHXRC)
  • MESSAGE_LOGGING_FILTER_EXIT (DVHXLF).

End Migration Alert!

The IBM supplied samples for DVHCXA, DVHCXC, and DVHXLF have been updated to tolerate either interface descriptor value. Customers will need to rework their modifications to these routines or their own DVHXRA, DVHXRB, DVHXRC, or DVHCXB exits accordingly.

For more information on the interface descriptor, see the 'Global Variables Available for the DVHX* Exits' section of the 'Exit Routines' chapter in the DirMaint Tailoring and Administration manual, and the EXITPARM help file.
