IBM VM Directory Maintenance (DirMaint™)

DirMaint is a CMS application that helps manage an installation's VM directory.

For z/VM Version 5 and 6 customers, "DirMaint" refers to the IBM z/VM Directory Maintanance Facility. Function levels exist as an optional feature of the corresponding z/VM Version.

Online Hints and Tips

The following documentation is applicable to the DirMaint Feature (both FL620 and FL630). You may:

Quick Tip: If you receive message 'DVH6213E HCPDIR764E ERROR IN routine' in response to the DIRMAINT or DIRMSAT machine issuing DIRECTXA, your directory has grown too big for the virtual storage size of the server that is issuing DIRECTXA. Increasing the virtual storage size of the DIRMAINT/DIRMSAT machines should eliminate this error.
