DirMaint
is a CMS application that helps manage an installation's VM directory.
For z/VM Version 4 and 5 customers, "DirMaint" refers to the
IBM z/VM Directory Maintanance Facility, function level (FL) 410 or 510,
an optional feature of the corresponding z/VM Version.
For z/VM 3.1.0 and VM/ESA customers, "DirMaint" refers to the
IBM Directory Maintanance for VM/ESA product, number 5748-XE4,
release 5 (or version 1.5.0).

DirMaint FL 510 is included on the system DDRs
as a pre-installed optional priced feature.
DirMaint FL 510 is based upon the DirMaint FL 410 feature,
and the predecessor product, program number 5748-XE4, with several
enhancements.
Support for z/VM 5.2.0 will be provided
via the PTF(s) for APAR VM63733,
which will be included on the z/VM 5.2.0 stacked RSU.

2004-08-03:
The DirMaint product (version 1.5.0) will become unsupported
effective 2005-12-31. Customers using DirMaint 1.5.0 on
z/VM 3.1.0 or earlier should migrate to z/VM Version 4 or z/VM
Version 5 with the corresponding DirMaint Function Level as a
pre-installed but optional priced feature.
2003-11-13:
DirMaint release 5
recommended service upgrade (RSU) number 0301 is now available
as PTF UV99150. Several
new function APARs are included,
including support for z/VM 3.1.0.

Before applying RSU 9703, or later, please issue a DIRM QUERY DVHLEVEL
command and check the result. If the current service level is 9702,
or earlier, please see the special considerations for applying
PTF UV59982 for APAR VM60509 which is now included on the RSU.
