DirMaint R5 is believed to function on z/VM V4, provided that your
directory entries only contain statements that are valid on z/VM V3
and earlier; however, this is not a supported environment.
DirMaint R5 will not be "fixed" to run on z/VM V4 and is not being
enhanced to support z/VM V4 directory statements.

As of 2003-11-13,
the latest DirMaint release 5 recommended service upgrade
(RSU 0301) is available as PTF UV99150.
The RSU includes
new function APARs
as well as PTFs to prevent encountering problems that have already
been reported and fixed. You can use a DIRM QUERY DVHLEVEL command
to determine your current DirMaint service level.
Note:
Before applying RSU 9703, or later, please issue a DIRM QUERY DVHLEVEL
command and check the result. If the current service level is 9702,
or earlier, please see the special considerations for applying
PTF UV59982 for APAR VM60509 which is now included on the RSU.
As of 2000-02-09,
the latest DirMaint release 5 Program Directory
is available as PTF UV98150.
A 38PP or 3820 family printer is required to print this,
along with the fonts from BookMaster release 4.
If you do not have a suitable printer (or the BookMaster fonts), you can
download the Program Directory to a
PostScript family printer, or to a
Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) printer,
which may be viewed using a freely downloadable
Adobe Acrobat Reader,
or contact DirMaint support (see below)
and we'll mail you a copy.
The test instructions in appendix A.1, A.2, and A.3 of the DirMaint
1.5.0 Program Directory are specifically designed to
systematically test the functions of the DirMaint product
in a sequence such that the point of failure, if any,
isolates the cause and identifies the necessary corrective action.
After a period of production,
there is small likelihood that this procedure will encounter any problem,
and is unnecessarily involved for routine regression testing.
Our new
fast test provides an easier and faster alternative.
If the test is successful, testing is complete.
If the test fails, there is no indication of the cause;
return to and follow the more detailed steps
to isolate the cause and identify the solution.
