Abstract
This session provides an introduction to setting up an infrastructure that can allow WebSphere applications to run efficiently on Linux for zSeries. The architecture consists of LPARs running VM, multiple Linux guests, each running WebSphere, running applications. The session will cover basic steps to set up the architecture and how to make the parts work together optimally. There was a Question and Answer session following the presentation.
Featured presenter
The featured speaker is Stephen Wehr, a Linux and WebSphere consultant from the zSeries New Technology Center. In his 24 years with IBM, he has held various product development, management, and custom consulting assignments associated with S/390. For the past three years he has concentrated on helping customers implement WebSphere on Linux on zSeries. His redpaper on this topic is titled "Linux on IBM zSeries and S/390: z/VM Configuration for WebSphere Deployments".
