This download package contains the NS_VM estimator exec. This exec provides capacity planning performance estimates for VM's support of the IBM Network Station based on workload and configuration assumptions provided by the exec user. This exec is self-contained and should run fine on any supported VM/ESA release. Additional background information is available online.

This package includes the NS_VM estimator exec, an example NS_VM input file, and the KB_XFER exec, which can be used to determine how much data is downloaded during network station initialization and the average amount of data that is transferred to the network station per NFS read request (two of the NS_VM input assumptions).
