Pamela Christina's Spare Time VM Projects

  • We also have the VM intranet site that is available to those within IBM, however we choose to put as much as we can on the external site and not duplicate that information "inside". There is greater leeway inside as far as design goes but I subscribe the the philosophy that the page should be quick-loading (minimal graphics) and well-organized...a comfortable place to be.
  • In a past life in VM Information Development (pre-ESA timeframe), I learned to appreciate the value of good indexes (indices, if you prefer). Yes, search facilities are nice, but somehow it seems easier to be able to scan some words, especially when you may not be familiar with the terminology. The information served on VM's home page has blossomed (probably because we keep putting more "stuff" out here). It had bothered me that there is no index, so I began working on one and it was under construction for a long while, and is not really needed since Brian wrote an awsome search engine for the VM site. With the combination of the site map and the search engine, you should be able to find what you need.
